Summer is starting to heat up. If you live in my half of the world, it seems to be coming a little slower this year. Just a little more time to get our outdoor spaces ready for summer, am I right?
Exterior living areas are some of my favorite spaces to both design and use. What better way to cast summer vibes than to compile a roundup of outdoor furniture picks? Within the last few years, the variety of outdoor furniture has really grown. I remember a time when West Elm didn’t even have an “outdoor” tab on their website. This modern mood board reflects the incredible variety out there: instead of bringing the outside-in, we’re bringing the comfort of inside-out. Even the gorgeous Kilim style rug is made to be used outside!
We couldn’t, in good conscience, give you a roundup of outdoor living arrangements without offering at least one out-of-the-box, color-infused Swatts & Co. collection. If you need me, I’ll be lounging on the coral sofa.
Classic doesn’t have to be neutral. In can be, but it doesn’t have to be. See those pretty little Adirondack chairs with a mod flair? You will be seeing a whole bunch of Polywood furniture in the outdoor spaces at our new house (coming so soon!). A big factor for us with outdoor products is durability; the Polywood products are made from recycled plastic AND come with a 20 year warranty. Maybe it’s our Michigan winters, but I see that as a big bonus.
